Former Fenwick High School Star Mike Black Of The University At Albany Named To The America East Conference All-Rookie Team Hoops Illinois March 8, 2010 Former Fenwick High School basketball star Mike Black of the University at Albany has been named to the America East Conference All-Rookie team after posting a stellar freshman season. Black, a 6'0" point guard, was especially strong in the second half of the season, and averaged 10.4 points and 3.4 assists per game in America East Conference play. Black finished 10th in the league in assists, and shot nearly 44% from behind the three-point arc. Black is part of a trio of Illinois players at Albany with Derek Tartt (Fenwick) and Jake Lindfors (Driscoll Catholic) also on the roster. Class of 2011 Plainfield Central star Derrick Marks has already given a verbal commitment to Albany.
