A Hillcrest/Crete-Monee Rematch, And Chicago Marshall Tangling With Riverside-Brookfield Highlight IHSA Class 3A Sectional Action On Tap For Tonight Hoops Illinois March 9, 2010 Semifinal action for the IHSA Class 3A state tournament is set to tip-off tonight with a number of strong match-ups including a Hillcrest/Crete-Monee rematch, and a Chicago Marshall/Riverside-Brookfield match-up that should be outstanding. Hillcrest defeated Crete-Monee earlier this season, and will again look to 6'5" Eric Gaines (Kent State), Julius Brown and 6'6" Darren Tillman to lead their balanced attack. Crete-Monee, fresh off of winning a rematch against Chicago Brooks, will again rely upon 6'6" Ray Lester (North Carolina A&T), 6'6" Mario Redmond (Western Illinois), Josh Humphrey, Jamie Crockett, Kentrell King and Marvie Keith to lead the way. Chicago Marshall will look to continue their run against a very, very good Riverside-Brookfield team. Marshall features 6'5" Vincent Garrett and 6'7" Alphonso McKinney anchoring the frontcourt with Class of 2011 point guard Keifer Sykes in the backcourt. Riverside-Brookfield counters with star point guard Sean McGonagill (Brown), Class of 2011 star Ryan Jackson, Billy VandeMerkt and Watoris Slater.
